Information • Biography
Jessica "Jess" Weixler was born on June 8, 1981 in Louisville, Kentucky. She caught the 'acting bug' in high school and attended Julliard in New York. She landed bit parts in film but landed her first big screen role in "The Big Bad Swim" as a stripper/black jack dealer. She landed her big break when she won the role of Dawn in "Teeth", a movie about a girl with vagina dentata. She was praised for her role and went on to win the Special Jury Prize (for a juicy and jaw-dropping performance) at the Sundance Film Festival in 2007. She was also nominated for a Breakthrough Award at the Gotham Awards.

2008 is set to be a big one for Jess. She has three movies coming out: Peter and Vandy, Periphery, and Welcome to Academia. She currently resides in New York and wants to be eventually known as a character actor. We can't wait to see what Jess will do next.
